St. Maries in September

Have you ever spent time at a place where you were surrounded by nature and were far away from the cares of the world? A place that begged you to slow down, relax, and enjoy the beauty? That's exactly how I felt on a recent visit to the Young Living Lavender Farm in St. Maries, Idaho. As soon as I arrived, I began to feel renewed. Evergreen forests shelter this small farm in northern Idaho, where lavender, melissa, and other herbs are grown for the production of therapeutic-grade essential oils.

St. Maries lavender essential oil and melissa essential oil are many people's favorites, so it was exciting to walk around the farm and see where these aromatic plants are grown. The land here is truly pure and pristine, which makes for perfect growing conditions.

Every year, a few Young Living distributors have the opportunity to spend time with Gary and Mary Young at the St. Maries Lavender Farm. Each year's event is exceptional! While here, distributors receive hands-on instruction on plants, distillation, and uses of essential oils, participate in cooking and gardening classes, and enjoy outdoor recreational activities such as rafting down the St. Joe River. What an amazing experience!

If you're ever in the area, the staff at the St. Maries Lavender Farm will give you a warm welcome and a grand tour. Marcie and Luis were such excellent hosts that it was hard to leave the farm and its splendid setting and calming influence. Fortunately, I have a bottle of both St. Maries lavender essential oil and melissa essential oil to remind me of that pristine valley and its peacefulness!

What's Not To Love?

Welcome to my new office—the Young Living Lavender Farm! Isn’t it gorgeous? I get to spend part of my work week at the Mona farm, where I’ll be planning events (Lavender Days 2008 is only 289 days away, can you believe it?) and working with Gary and Mary Young and our marketing team on developing new products that will be available from the farm. So be sure to check often for new product offerings, product tips, recipes, and information about events on the Young Living Lavender Farm Web site.

As most of you know, our products are developed with therapeutic-grade essential oils and without harmful chemicals. When you visit the Young Living Lavender Farm, you really start to get a sense of what our mission is all about, as we honor our stewardship to champion nature’s living energy, essential oils.

I recently had the opportunity to take a little bit of “the farm” to our distributors who attended Young Living’s Annual Grand Convention in Washington DC. We had a display featuring the four farms that Young Living owns and operates, as well as a few products from our Lavender Farm in Mona that were available for sale. We sold out of our lavender products within minutes! I wasn’t at all surprised, because I know that people have come to trust the Young Living Lavender Farm as a source for the purest, highest quality products made with therapeutic-grade essential oils.

There is definitely plenty to love about the Young Living Lavender Farm—from the tranquil, breathtaking setting that visitors can enjoy year round, to the fabulous lavender products. I hope you’ll take a break and stop by to visit during the month of September—it’s absolutely delightful out here!
