Lavender Farm Restaurant and Lavender Lemonade

The restaurant at the Young Living Lavender Farm is now open for the season! We are so excited to have Lisa, our lovely restaurant manager, back this year. She is always cooking up something yummy and fresh. Today I had a bowl of amazing, straight from the farm chili and our popular Lavender Lemonade. It was fabulous!

We just got a great question about our lavender lemonade from Whitney in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. She says,

"I was at the Lavender Festival last summer and had a chance to have some of that amazing Lavender Lemonade you guys sell. If you can, I would love to have the recipe."

Well Whitney, I am happy to give you the recipe. We just served the Lavender Lemonade at our Easter event and it was a huge hit! I heard that some people were nervous to try it, but once they did they couldn't get enough. It is a great way to add something unique to the usual summer thirst quencher. And because the recipe calls for Blue Agave, an all-natural sweetener, it is healthy, too! If you want to try some before you make it, come on into the farm's restaurant; it is always on the menu.

Lavender Lemonade
7 lemons, peeled and juiced
2 limes, peeled and juiced
14 c. water
1 ½ c. Blue Agave
1 drop lavender essential oil

Mix all ingredients together and chill. Add more water or Blue Agave, depending on the size and tartness of the fruit.

Blue Agave Giveaway!
We are so happy about the restaurant opening that we want to do a giveaway. Anyone who comments on this post by Saturday, April 5, will be entered to win an 8 oz. bottle of Blue Agave. We'll pick two winners randomly. To comment just click on the comment link at the bottom of this post and enter your Google user name, but if you don't have one click on name/url and just enter in your name and comment. You can enter your url, but if you don't have one just leave it blank.

The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Click here for a map to the farm or call 1-800-371-0819 for more information.

Thank you so much for the Lavender Lemonade recipe. I can't wait to try it. That is one of the many great things about Young Living. Their willingness to share. I love the sense of community that I get out of being a member of Young Living Essential Oils. This blog page is great too, because Lavender is one of my favorite oils.

Thank you for the recipe. I am anxious to try this--I never would have thought of putting lavender with lemonade!

I do have a question - in the recipe I understand the juice of the 7 lemons, are the lemons peeled because the juice is being extracted from a juicer in which the peeled lemons are placed? I've never peeled a lemon-is this similar to peeling a potato?

I feel embarrassed to ask these questions, they seem like basic things I should know.

The lavender lemonade sounds wonderful. I'll also try the lavender linen spray. The last time we had overnight guests, I put a bottle of Young Living Lavender oil on the nightstand in the guest room and suggested they sprinkle some lavender on a tissue and put it inside the pillowcase. They said they enjoyed staying at our spa.

Thank you for sharing the recipe with everyone. I love this lemonade and drink a lot in the warmer weather, which is nearly always because I live in Texas. I love to eat at the restaurant. Do you still have wolfberry cheesecake? Now that is some amazing bliss.

I love fresh lemonade (I make lemon water every morning - squeeze 1/2 lemon into a cup, add a pinch of salt, add hot water, sweeten with raw honey or blue agave to taste - it's half of the ayurvedic tradition of creating balance via the 6 tastes). Can't wait to try the lavender version!

Lavender lemonade would be great to serve at an "oils party". Do you have a recipe for a healthy lavender cookie to go with it?

I can hardly wait to visit the farm in June. I want to leave NOW after seeing this recipe. Blue Agave makes the life of this diabetic much sweeter. It's low glycemic level means I can put a bit on my morning cereal. The Farm seems like a great place to work. It will be grand fun meeting as many as I can. Thank you!

Thank you so much for the recipe. I myself, have just finished a collection of recipes, many of which incorporate the Young Living Oils. It is a great success like everything is with Young Living. I am just completing my ISAP-Integrated Science Aromatic Practitioner. It is the most rewarding choice I have made in my life and I am 61. Because I always incorporate some form of nutrition involving essential oils, your lemonade recipe has come just at the right time.

Thank you for the Lavender lemonade recipe. I look forward to trying this. I drink a lot of lemonade in the summer, I find it refreshing and it quenches the thirst when its hot. I love lavender for a lot of things. It relaxes me when I'm tierd and puts me in a state of mind that I just just sit back and forget any problems from a hard days work load. I like in my bath, shower jels, and soaps.

I look forward to tasting it in my lemondade. I will definitly pass this onto my friends and family.

We will be a lavender family.

Thank You,

Thank you for the lemonade recipe. I have a question. Why are the lemons pealed first and then not used? I love using agave and am so grateful that we have it. Looking forward to making my first pitcher of Lavender lemonade. I loved the wolfberry pie. Are they still making it? Lavender Oil, is one that I cannot be without. It is one of my favorites.

I can't wait to make this lemonade at home! I am going to start to have meetings in my home where we discuss the wonderful benefits of Young Living's products with people who are intersted in hearing and learning about YL. I have decided that The Lavendar Lemonade is what I am going to serve at those meetings! What a great way to introduce our products to people.
Thank you so much for sharing,

I am looking forward to trying the Lavender Lemonade when I attend the convention in June. I need the lemon and the lavender for their anti-tumoral properties. Many thanks for the recipe. I add a drop of lemon essential oil too.

When I first tried Lavender Lemonaid at the farm I was amazed to learn that there was only one drop of Lavender Oil in a whole gallon of Lemonaid! The recipe for this, as well as Wolfberry Cheesecake and lots of other yummy recipes are in the first edition of the Young Living Cookbook, along with a Lemon Tea Cookie recipe that I'll bet you could add a drop of Lavender Oil to for Lavender/Lemon Cookies. (Item # 3947.) The second cookbook is great, too--it has my recipe for Wolfberry Coleslaw in it! (#4369.) Margaret Blackburn
