The lavender fields have looked beautiful the last two weeks in full bloom, and now it's time for the harvest! I recently met with an herb farmer from Oregon who grows many types of herbs on her 2-acre farm. When I explained to her that Gary Young owns four farms consisting of thousands of acres dedicated to growing herbs for the production of essential oils, she turned to me and exclaimed, "Oh, I am so glad! Someone has to save the plants. We desperately need these herbs, now more than ever!"
