Three Natural Remedies for Winter's Ills

This is the time of year when kids and adults alike get all kinds of aches and ills--from runny noses to sore throats. Rather than turning to over-the-counter medicines, trust nature for a cure. Young Living Farms produce the purest essential oils from plants intended to help you prevent and soothe wintertime blahs. Here are my top three remedies:

  1. To breathe easier, boil water with a drop or two of Young Living's therapeutic-grade eucalyptus essential oil. Stand with your head about 18 inches above the pot to avoid scalding, cover your head and the pot of water with a towel, and breathe deeply.
  2. To prevent illnesses, get plenty of rest. Add Young Living's therapeutic-grade lavender essential oil to warm bath water. Relaxing in a warm tub with lavender will prepare you for a good night's rest.
  3. Keep your house germ-free with Thieves Household Cleaner! I love this product and can't say enough about how well it works in killing germs, all with natural essential oils. I use it to wipe door handles, counters, and basically every surface that would harbor germs.

Yes, I always do that especially when I have blocked nose. The combination of this two is great.
