on my way to a Wedding I tried to iron my dress that was crushed in my suitcase...I burned my arm pretty badly and expected a big scar. Luckily I remembered I had some Lavender oil with me...I kept putting it on my arm and a 2 inch burn is now a dot!

One night I put my hand on a hot stove and burned it and immediately I reached in the covered and put lavender on my hand and the next evening there was no sign of there being a burn. I also put lavender on my skin when I have an itch and it is red and after a few minutes the itching and redness will go away.

I have used Lavender countless times to calm burns from cooking. I have found that if I apply the lavender quick enough after I burn myself, I never get a blister or any sign of a burn. Those times when the lavender is not so quickly available, the lavender still does a wonderful job of healing the injury very quickly and comfortably.

As a Practitioner that works out of home, my clients are greeted by Zoe the dog and O the cat. Carry a sloppy used bottle of it in your purse or spill some on purpose in the bottom and everytime you open it up to pay for something, get a tissue, keys,etc, you get a calming waft of air. Just wonderful, not to mention the zillion uses for it to have it with you at all times. Just today I picked my son up from school and he had a red warm mark on his face from falling on some ice on playground, maybe not the best choice, but it worked great immediately and calmed him at the same time. It looks good just a few hours later.

I have enjoyed the scent of lavender ever since I was a little girl, my mother grew a hardy variety in our garden in Toronto.

Ten years ago I bought this stuffed toy rabbit, very cute with floppy ears, I called him Sleepy Bunny because in his tummy was dried lavender flowers. I originally bought him because I was having trouble falling asleep - due to stress and a car accident I had been in.

The thing is, there was no way to open up Sleepy Bunny to replenish the dried herbs when the scent went away. I simply pull back his fur and put a drop of Young Living Lavender oil on him... and he's good to go for a few months longer!

There's no reason why this can't be done with any other kind of stuffed toy. I think it would be terrific for infants who are too young to have an essential oil applied topically - simply put a drop on a stuffed toy in their crib.

Lavendar applied neat quickly cleared up infected sores on my scalp that no other prescription cream or product helped at all. Only a few days of Lavendar and my scalp was healed and healthy.

I also use lavander in my fabric storage area to gently scent the fabrics used for doll/toy making and bandannas.

For the past few years I have noticed that my hair is lacking a bit right above my temple area. I have been massaging lavender into this area daily for the last 3 months, and I am happy to say that I have a lot of new hair growth in this area. I am thrilled to have this area filled in with hair once again. I also love to rub lavender on my pillow and the bottom of my feet before going to bed at night. I get a wonderful night's rest and don't wake up until morning.

Lavender is wonderful for pain relief of headaches, eye pain, sinus pain, & migraines. I put a drop of lavender in the palm of my hand, rub the palms of both hands together, cup the hands together over my nose & take several deep breaths. Then, I put some lavendar oil on my nose topically to help my sinuses, as well as, on my forehead & scalp for headache/migraine pain. Before sleeping, I put a tiny bit of the lavender oil on my eye lids & eye brows to relieve any eye pain. Using the lavender oil is much better than any medication that I've taken.

Am recovering from influenza which manifested severe headaches--similar to those suffered with West Nile virus. Frankincense had helped eased those so was disappointed that it was not nearly as affective with the flu. Tried topical Lavendar to forehead and temples and was pleasantly surprised at the relief of head pain. Also noted that it helped to dry up a runny nose, to boot! Great stuff when one is so miserable!

I wait until we've been in the car for about 5 minutes and she has started panting, then I put the lavender on me so that she gets the aroma without it being too strong. One of the things I've found to be a delightful experience is to take a few drops of lavender oil in a tablespoon of a neutral oil such as an almond oil and use it for a massage. Both the giver and the receiver benefit from the pleasant aroma and are relaxed and refreshed.
