We had close to 3,000 guests at the Lavender Farm on Friday for Convention, and it was absolutely fabulous! We loved having you here, and we want to thank you for your enthusiasm and kindness. We hope you'll visit us often!
Farm Day began early (the buses arrived an hour and a half earlier than expected, which caught us a bit off guard!), but the cool morning breeze was a lovely way to introduce guests to our exclusive farm oil blend Garden Breeze. This floral blend was created to remind visitors of the fragrances enjoyed while walking through our herb gardens.
We also offered wagon tours, distillery tours, presentations by Gary Young at our new exhibit of early distillation in France, Animal Oils Training (Raindrop) presentation by Gary Young, Bath Salt and Lavender Foot Scrub booth, delicious shaved ice and sorbets with Young Living products, fabulous food and entertainment, activities for the kids such as the Lavender Fairy Tea Party and Knights Tale Party, rock climbing, pony rides, paddleboat rides, and so much more!
My favorite moments were spent watching ladies sitting back and relaxing as they received a soothing foot scrub with our new lavender products, seeing Mary Young's mother perform on the stage playing and singing her heart out, listening to Gary Young as he shared fascinating facts about the early distillation methods in France and the development of his lavender farms, hearing the sounds of children laughing and playing at the parties, reconnecting with so many friends, and hearing comments from our guests such as, "We've had such a wonderful time here. This farm is absolutely beautiful. Gary must be so proud!"
I hope you'll share your thoughts and favorite moments from Farm Day with us. You may even win a bottle of Lavender Peppermint essential oil if you post your comment before June 21st! I'll be posting photos soon, so be sure to check back often on our blog. And for those of you who had the chance to enjoy the cool NingXia Red shaved ice and essential oil sorbets, I will also be posting those recipes soon!

Lavender Farm Restaurant and Lavender Lemonade
The restaurant at the Young Living Lavender Farm is now open for the season! We are so excited to have Lisa, our lovely restaurant manager, back this year. She is always cooking up something yummy and fresh. Today I had a bowl of amazing, straight from the farm chili and our popular Lavender Lemonade. It was fabulous!
We just got a great question about our lavender lemonade from Whitney in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. She says,
"I was at the Lavender Festival last summer and had a chance to have some of that amazing Lavender Lemonade you guys sell. If you can, I would love to have the recipe."
Well Whitney, I am happy to give you the recipe. We just served the Lavender Lemonade at our Easter event and it was a huge hit! I heard that some people were nervous to try it, but once they did they couldn't get enough. It is a great way to add something unique to the usual summer thirst quencher. And because the recipe calls for Blue Agave, an all-natural sweetener, it is healthy, too! If you want to try some before you make it, come on into the farm's restaurant; it is always on the menu.
Lavender Lemonade
7 lemons, peeled and juiced
2 limes, peeled and juiced
14 c. water
1 ½ c. Blue Agave
1 drop lavender essential oil
Mix all ingredients together and chill. Add more water or Blue Agave, depending on the size and tartness of the fruit.
Blue Agave Giveaway!
We are so happy about the restaurant opening that we want to do a giveaway. Anyone who comments on this post by Saturday, April 5, will be entered to win an 8 oz. bottle of Blue Agave. We'll pick two winners randomly. To comment just click on the comment link at the bottom of this post and enter your Google user name, but if you don't have one click on name/url and just enter in your name and comment. You can enter your url, but if you don't have one just leave it blank.
The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Click here for a map to the farm or call 1-800-371-0819 for more information.

Young Living Ecuador Farm Video
Here is a video of the Amazon Adventure that took place last week. It shows how beautiful it is down there and helps me see Gary Young's vision for all the Young Living Farms. Don't forget to comment on Suzette's post below to be entered to win a bottle of RutaVaLa essential oil!
P.S. The lavender plants in the greenhouses down in Mona are really growing. Spring is just about here!
